Never Before Bio
Never Before is a metal band based in Salt Lake City, Utah that combines generations of metal and rock into a cohesive, melodic, musical experience. The group is fronted by Kristy Brady. Her soulful voive creates the bands haunting melodies. The band, which consists of two Guitars (Joe Taylor and Daren Johnson), Bass (Walter Brady IV) and Drums (Seb Smith), puts forth a melodic sound that is blended with heavy breakdowns and solid verse riffs. Each song they write is defined by its initial meaning. Kristy and A.J both wait until each song is musically completed before writing their lyrics, in order to get a feel for the emotion and the mood the song creates. This is relevant in assuring that the lyrics can get the point across, and appeal to different audiences. With influences such as Killswitch Engage, Threat Signal, Disturbed, and Lacuna Coil, the band creates a sound that is heavy and brutal, yet haunting and melodic.
Each member contributes a significant element to the overall production. This being because every member comes from a completely different musical background and favors a different style of music. These range from Classic rock and Country to New Age and Black metal. Live performance is one of the strongest points of this group. Each show performed by Never Before promises to have an electrifying atmosphere that can be felt by most that attend. This being the reason why their live shows have turned out steady numbers in attendance.
